Call for Submissions

Nighttime is different from daytime, but our culture often fails to capture that simple feeling. Night falls, and we switch on the lights, going about our business.

Sometimes, it's not until we switch off the lights that night enters us.
It has its own magic. It’s own demons. It can be spooky or comforting. You can wrap the cloak around your shoulders and feel a sense of ease or fear, or both.

We are seeking poems that explore what nighttime means to you. We invite poets of all backgrounds and experience to submit up to 3 poems for our upcoming NIGHTFALL: POETRY ANTHOLOGY.

a thousand flowers books is a small independent poetry press looking to expand the diversity and reach of our books, weaving connections between people, creating more opportunities for poets, and increasing the range and number of poetry readers around the world.
